How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

These are some wonderful shots you have here. I'm starting to think a blind is the way to go for woodies out here...they seem tons more jittery than the ones back in CAne_nau.gif

They are here too. Have found that regarless of the area for some reason. Places people take walks and kids are around often, these ducks don't want any attention...even when fed. The blind makes a huge difference and use it often even for cardinals, orioles, etc. Waiting for the orioles to show up....I suspect another week and they'll be here....can't wait.

Thanks for the comments everybody! I think the wood ducks are the most beautiful of all.

Thanks Jeff. The blinds (one man set ups) have zippered windows and sides. Usually one side unzips all the way around to get in and out of. The other 3 sides have screened windows and the upper part of the side zips down. So.....once you're in, zip down enough area for the lens to cover the areas you want in the field of vison. You can also unzip the sides a little bit to see what's coming left or right. Since you are hidden and don't make any sudden moves, the birds won't pay any attention to you. Single person blinds cost around $50.00, are one piece, and set up in a flash.
