The shot is quite plain the colour of the shell is pretty, against the grey sand.... plain and simple

The blur is actually caused by Canons high quality kit lens!:D
Divide the viewfinder like you're playing tic tac toe and place the subject over an area where the lines intersect.
Change the angle -looks like you're about to step on that shell. You could make a small pile of sand, place the shell on top, and shoot it from the side...
The block will pass... :cool
