what a lovely shot; beautiful colors and lighting. IMHO, I would like to see less of a crop, same composition, just more of the flower.

I love it, too!!!! I wouldn't change the composition at all. I like seeing the detail up close. thumb.gif

I like it. I'd consider two possible changes. In terms of framing, I'd give it just a little bit of breathing room on the bottom and the right. Other than that, I think a slightly darker background (is that the sky?) would increase contrast and help the picture pop. One possibility is a B&W conversion with a red filter to darken the blue. Another possibility in post is to overlay a layer created from the red channel and set it to luminance blend mode in Photoshop.

I love it as is - the light background lends an ethereal quality.

I agree...it's really great as it is.....no joke. Wonderful execution and capture....enter it, and go to bed.

Thanks to everyone for your comments.

LiquidAir---intersting suggestions, I'll have to give them a try.

Greensquared----funny you used the word ethereal to describe this image. I have had several people say that many of my images are very ethereal.

Swartzy---you are right, I am probably over thinking my entry.....just like many of us are. Thanks for the advice:D.
