I wanted to bring into light barbie's body and how it portrays to young girls what a woman's body is supposed to look like:

    Not crazy about the subject but if that's what you want to use, you may want to adjust the contrast and levels here. The image is kinda flat.

    Barbie is monochromatic which is leaving your shot starved for dynamic range. A couple things to try that might help:

    1. Back light her. If you want to stick with a black background put your light just outside the frame. This will both highlight her profile and provide strong specular reflections which will increase the dynamic range.

    2. You might also try a white background. Shoot in a dark room with the background as the only light source. My guess is this shot will work better in color, but again the goal is to highlight her profile.
