I couldn't find a film area. Sorry if i've put this in the wrong place.

I'm fairly new to 4x5 photography. I'm trying to develop the film myself using d-76 developer. I'm having problems remember the rest of the process.

Would anyone recommend an online resource or book to read up on this?

The D-76 ( powder or liquid?) should come with instructions and a table of time/temperatures for film processing either in film reels or submersion tanks.

A stop bath of mild acetic acid and a bath of fixer ( Hypo ) and then wash.

Any library should have dozens of books about traditional film processing.

This forum is really dedicated to digital processing, and I haven't shot film for almost a decade so that is all I remember off the top of my head.ne_nau.gif

    Hey chrisjlee,

Good to know that more digital shooters are also shooting 4x5!

For large format, you'll find that the peeps at http://www.largeformatphotography.info/ will have better information. The forum is very good too.

You should try to shoot film again. Challenge yourself to think differently. I've never shot film until recently. I just jumped into digital actually. It's very intimidating for me to be in a dark room.

Thanks! I'll check out that forum. It looks very useful. I Need to buy myself my own 4x5 View Camera soon. You shoot with your view camera still? Do you develop your own film or do you have a lab you send it to?
