Get the free trial, try it for 30 days, and if you like it - standard edition is less than half of what you were thinking to pay:-)
Cheers!
and Nikolai has got to be the most responsive s/w developer I have ever dealt with.....
and his app ROCKS, it saves me a ton of time, especially since it never ever just stops uploading like the drag and drop does....
I am not happy with the Star Explorer Option...or should I say my wife is not happy with the star explorer option...which sucks because I paid the money for the program....She likes the drag and drop from the website...simple easy to understand...but we can't do it directly from Lightroom.
So...The offer still stands...Give me drag and drop from lightroom and I'll give you my $30...
WHO'S STILL WITH ME?!?
try drag on drop on 300+ pics and go to lunch and when you come back maybe they finished or maybe you got an error msg waiting for you and you get to start over but 1st you have to figure out which pics made it.....
so far, after 6 months, not a single failure from Star Explorer

I'm confused -- why would you try to jerry-rig Lightroom to work with Star*Explorer when there's a plug-in for Lightroom to export directly to SmugMug?

Darryl,
S*E has some extra perks no other tool has.
The direct integration is sure fine for a handful of small files.
However I would like to see how it can reliably upload the results of a small league weekend (or any other major shoot for that matter, with dozens of albums to create and hundreds of files to upload) in a single flick of a mouse, make sure nothing is lost even if the power completely goes down, and then finally automatically put your PC to hibertnation mode if you leave it upload for the night...
I wish LR simply supported file drag-n-drop interface, like any decent app does since Win3.x days, there would be no need to some "majik skript" whatsoever...
I'm small-time, so I'm seldom uploading more than 50 shots at a time. (And to tell the truth, I haven't uploaded much to SmugMug at all in the past few years since all my personal stuff is hosted at Phanfare, whose uploader I love.)

Sigh...unfortunately, this feature doesnt work as designed when using Windows in VMWare on the Mac. As you would expect, it shuts down the Windows image...not exactly what I am after
Otherwise, S*E is indispensable even when you have many files and especially want more than one gallery. I have occasionally had issues when S*E didn't launch from Lightroom, and the workaround for me was to start S*E, then do the Lightroom export to S*E.
Nik, with all that spare time you have now, maybe you can learn Cocoa, and create S*E for the Mac!

but when the export of the images in lightroom is finished nothing happens...star explorer isn't launched...
Am I missing something ?
Thanks
Adam.
Guys, I'm at loss here, since I don't even use LR.
Anybody's using LR/SE integration for real?
Please help Adam out!
