Is it really a journey if its only one day?

Last friday I went to New York for a work trip. We got in thursday evening for an event that wasn't happening until 7pm on friday, which meant that I got to spend a full day wantering the streets of Manhattan and shooting anything and everything. Here's what came out:

Started in Soho because it was close to where I was staying. It was far too early for anyone to be out:

Made my way through Chinatown, but I didn't see much there that I wanted to shoot:

Wandered down to see the east river bridges:

The buildings started getting taller as I made my way down to Battery Park:

Battery Park is an incredibly fun place to have a camera. This was certainly my faorite place to shoot:

There were a ton of street performer there. These guys were hilarious, and good acrobats to boot:

The statue of liberty looks a lot smaller in person:

From Battery Park I walked up Broadway and found St. John's Cathedral, and the spectacular graveyard:

Further up Broadway I found myself at the WTC site. I don't think I was ready for the impact that it had on me. There I found this guy. He was playing Amazing Grace, and it was incredibly touching.

I rode the Subway up to Central Park. Seems like it would be a shame to miss out on that.

And that's it! For now, at least. Few more shots still to go through.
