Or would that be macro forest?

I'm really new at this macro thing, so I'd really appreciate C&C.

In particular what does everyone think of the purple areas in the bokeh? I'm not sure I like them, but I couldn't figure out a way to de-emphasize them without being too obvious. Any tips?

Sweet ... very well done ... the only thing I'd do (if the pix was mine ... sorta wish it was) ... is darken up all around the center of focus ... slightly burning in would make the flower a bit more pronounced and give more definition to the white hairs.

What a pretty flower, soft colours, nice light.
Being new at Macro means your bound to get better at it :D
You'll soon learn to look at whats in the background.

I like it. The purple in the background does not bother me. Very nice image!
