They'll sit on your finger
Only problem is , it's a bit tricky shooting one handed .

This thread deserves a bump. I'm always amazed at how you make your macro shots more and more interesting.
Fantastic stuff as always!

Fraid the garden is pretty full of bugs at the moment especially the hoverfly #3. They keep on doing territorial flying which includes landing on me or the camera.

Once I've got a few shots of a bug no harm in seeing if it will walk onto your finger

No having already got some decent shots of them, no harm in seeing if you can coax them onto your finger especially if the weather is a bit cold (they like to warm up). The butterflies shot was an accident, I tried to move the leaf they were sitting on for a clearer shot and they calmly walked onto my hand. I actually walked back into the house with them to show my wife ("nice") and son ("Grunt") and they happily stayed there.

Shooting one handed is actually easier than it sounds... with some practice

Thanks Chris for the comments and bump.
One of the nice things about having done a lot of macroshooting (and I do a lot) is you get a bit more relaxed about taking shots and perhaps taking risks you wouldn't have tried at first.

Assume you are not serious
I'm just lucky in having the time (being retired) to do lots of shots- makes a wonderful hobby.
