Playing with Fire
I've never posted a pic here, but I've just bought a d200 (18-200mm vr lens) and here are a couple that i snapped last night that i'm rather proud of.
i can only post one at a time. oops.
oh well; i'll try the second in a mo. I'm curious what people think. I've come from an F60 and briefly an small digital thing. It's essentially in point and click mode here but with the iso bumped up to 1250. I'm loving VR as it was taken at 1/20, which is a whole new world of fun for me.
i'm working through thom hogan's book. so much to learn!

Pyromania - reminds me of Boy Scouts...way too much fun putting a lit match in the hands of a 12 year old...
You have a great tool with a really good lens. Just keep pressing the shutter as much as possible and read the forums here and you'll be a master in short order.
I have the equivalent of VR on my Panasonic and its pretty amazing how slow you can go in steady hands!
