Friday afternoon I photoghraphed wedding number 6 , the last for a while .
The lighting was getting a bit dim and i know I should have dropped to a smaller aperture for some of them ... if I had better lighting .
I tried a few with wireless flash later but need a bit more practice there .
Any helpful advice appreciated ....

I just realised that the wireless flash on 5 cast a bit of a shadow and brightened up the corner a bit .....

    I love this set!

#2 is gorgeous, I love the colors and the nice balance of ambient and flash.

I like the relaxed but elegant style in #3 too, although the foreground pillar is a tad distracting...maybe a crop is in order?

Your humor and style really come across in this set....they're wonderful.

I also love #6, she has the cutest expression. I would have smoothed her veil just a tad, but that's personal preference.

nice work, I bet you're glad to take a break! Your April schedule sounds like my May will be...:cry

Even though I am glad to have a break today and do a "major house-clean" I really enjoy the wedding photography and learned something new each time . Though I would prefer to do just one a month and put everything into it ... make a list of must-have pictures that are different from the norm .
Feel free to crop the picture you mention and help me see it differently . I wonder if it is the dof or just the pillar itself , maybe if it was sharper ?

I get what you mean though I sort of like a bit of the framing the pillar gives . Maybe if I leaned out a bit further and got more of her in with the pillar further back [ maybe I can get someone to hold my belt while I try to get out far enough :D ] .
I'm starting to think if the pillar was sharper it might not be such a distraction maybe headscratch.gif

i agree with you on the framing. i cloned a bit of the OOF pillar out to get the crop as is. It'd take a lot more to get a wider crop....ah well, however you slice it, its a great capture. maybe would work better in BW? dunno. I like it the more I look at it, for sure. thumb.gif

and now for the contoversial shots ... I bet most people would say the colours are too bright in the selective B&W and maybe there is no place for the occasional intentional 'oof' picture ?
