A friend asked me to shoot his boss' girlfriend as a favor. She's never modeled before but she had a great personality and was pretty good at taking directions.

Shot these using natural light and a reflector. Now I know why I prefer studio shooting :wink

More to come.........

I just noticed the light spot on her shirt that I neglected to clone out.

#1 showcases a nice desaturated style you've been working on, and it is perfect here. Love the pose. I'm not sure if its the compression but it seems like there's some JPG artifacting around her eyes and chest. headscratch.gif (and in shot #2s hair?)

#2 is brilliant. Beautiful, serene, graphic, timeless. WOW. On second look the shadow crushing in the eyes bugs me a teeny bit, but this is the kind of shot you get carte blanche creative license with. iloveyou.gif

Very nice!!! #2 is great....I don't mind the shadows over the eyes, as by the time I am looking at her eyes I notice the reflection and they've lost my attention immediately! This shot begs for a little mystery anyhow. :D

    Very well done!
Interesting and moody. I like #2 the most and #1 the least (although they're all very good).

    Cheers,

Thanks for the critiques/replies guys. It's really much appreciated.

Yeah it's nice to put all that practice to good use. It's also nice that word is getting out about my portraiture. I've been getting a few calls from people who have seen my recent shots and interested in doing some sessions with me.

Natalie actually had a really outgoing personality but I think she was a little self conscious as a lot of attractive women can be. I took advantage of this and just went with the mood.

I wasn't planning to post anything in this thread as I could not see either an issue or special interest in the shots until your last post. The first photo there has lots of character and I like the crossprocessing efect (greens and blues). Well done.

I keep coming back to these because I really like them. My favorite is the 5th (second to last) photo. She makes a terrific model. The PP on these is really well done.
    C and C always welcome.
