SmugMug alters the colors of my photos

Recently, I found out that although I THOUGHT I had saved my photos as sRGB, some of them apparently weren't, and had the RGB profile stripped.
Well, the ones stripped came out looking VERY redder.
But upon further inspection, even the ones I know for a fact are sRGB are showing a lithly redder tone as well (not as redder as the ones that were wrong, but still a reddening was going).
Is this a result of transfer to the web? Or user stupidity and I'm missing something?

Let's talk workflow. How are you processing, what platform, and how are you processing? Leave nothing out.

Ok...
My camera is a Rebel XTi (Canon 400D)
It's set for sRGB to begin with.
I shoot in RAW (CR2 format)
I upload my photos, and load them through bridge (to evaluate en masse).
In the RAW editor between Bridge and Photoshop, I generally fiddle with RAW settings (exposure, WB, etc).
At first, I don't think the RAW editor was set to open photos in sRGB, but AbobeRGB. Whenever a phot loaded into Photoshop, I generally discarded the color profile (mostly cause I had no idea what it was).
I since have changed it to PhotoPro (at my dads suggestion).
I do my thing in Photoshops (color balance, filters, etc).
Then, when I save it as a jpeg, I click the "embed sRGB 1IEC619 etc etc etc option.
And when I compare sRGB photos to the online copy, there is a SLIGHT reddening (nothing really bad). But the non sRGB (my dad says the EXIF data is stripped, and the RGB data says "unknown" on Smugmug) show up DRASTICALLY redder. You don't even need to compare them, it's quite noticable.
Need any other info? Cause that's all I can remember off the top of my head.
I just calibrated my monitor/computer, and I must say, the screen looks MUCH better. My DVDs are so much more colorful.
But my pictures look like crap :
Now I have to start over anyway, cause they all look horrible :
So technically since I have to re balance all my photos (since I did them in the wrong calibration setting ) I shouldn't have to worry about it, and I can do it right this time and account for any errors to begin with.
Thanks Andy
