The Little Zoo That Could
The Gulf Shores Zoo is down the road from me. Some of you who watch the Animal Planet know it as the Little Zoo That Could. It's featured because it was evacuated 2-3 times within a year to avoid hurricanes. The first two are from last year and the rest were last weekend. First two were shot with Nikon D50 and 70-300mm, rest with the D50 and 18-200mmVR. All processed through DxO.

More great shots Jon.... I'm actually headed down to the zoo this weekend unless something comes up. I haven't been down there before and am looking forward to the trip.
I read recently that they had some land donated to them a bit further north that will keep them from having to evacuate so often.

If you have time, I recommend going through the zoo 3 times. It is small enough to do that and you will see different things each time as the animals are active at different times. Well, maybe not Chuckie the alligator.
Chuckie is probably only active after a hurricane when he has "escaped".
I'll keep your suggestion in mind... I hope to spend a good part of the day down there.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
