Thank you Jeff!! I didn't realize how hard it is to use proper exposure on these guys. They look dark orange on one side and very light on the other Go figure. They looked great on the view finder, but when i got home, it was a different story . I shoot in RAW and had a lot of PP done. I'm quiet happy with some of them. Wish sharpness was better. I have no technique for the sharpness, i mostly use either Unshapren Mask or Smart Shaprening. If anyone care to give an advise?

Well I'm no expert, but I'll tell you one way I often use. Maybe some Master will chime in and we will both learn
I was always told to sharpen last as it will tend to increase other artifacts (like noise). I sharpen in LAB mode (somewhere Rutt is doing a search for LAB on the forums and will chime in)
Anyways I select the lightness channel only to minimize noise (As I understand it color noise is contained in the A and B channels and the sharpness/details of the photo are contained in the lightness channel). Then go to smart sharpen: I try to use large radius and small amount for sharpening. Experiment and use the preview button. If noise jumps up too much post an example and we can go from there.

Thanks Jeff! Yep, sharpen is the last thing i do as well. It just doesn't seems right. I might increase some of the values as you mentioned. I've never thought of doing it in a LAB mode D

Check this out. It Rutts tutorial on LAB sharpening. Its a bit much, but he really knows his stuff. You'll feel a bit like you asked if it was raining and instead received a dissertation in meteorology Just skip the theory if you like and check out where he tells you how to sharpen in LAB mode.
You don't have to use unsharp mask like he does. I use smart sharpen with high radius and low amount.
Let me know when you do. If it's on a day off, maybe we can meet for a photo frenzy!
Hey Jen, that sounds like a great idea!! I'm all up for it. I'm off on weekends only so if that works for your, why not?
I'll have to bring someone to hold my camera while i go on the rides

Marina, these are great! I really like the ones that are in partial shadow/indirect light. Beautiful

The detail in the second and third shots is excellent.
