    Wow, Sid, I could go on and on with that, but here it is in a nutshell:

    Canon 20D and 400 f2.8. I shoot at ISO 100 and in Av mode at f2.8. Use center focus point, AI Servo and shoot in short bursts. I make EC adjustments as needed based primarily on where the light is coming from. As a general rule, -EC shooting with the sun at my back and +EC shooting into the sun. I also use a small stool to get down to the level of the little guys.

    Excellent shots! I can see the benefits of the 400 wide open on the backgrounds.

    The lower level (stool versus standing) also really seems to make a difference.

    Those are some very nice shots. That 400 2.8 looks like a sweet lens.
