I posted this in another forum, but just wanted to make sure the folks here also saw it too.
I put together a webpage to show off my DIY light frame for Macro and photographing other small objects like product shots and ebay etc.
You can get to it from my website's gallery page, but here is the direct URL.

thanks for sharing
Thanks for the link Gary, looks an interesting set up.
Inexpensive too instructions look easy enough to follow too
I'm glad there are folks like you around who are willing to share their designs to others who are interested in this type of photography.
Thanks again ..... Skippy

Thanks for the kind words. I love trying to think outside the box (sorry, for that). But seriously, I'm glad it helped someone. That's what these forums are supposed to be about I guess.
Enjoy.

I built a frame very much like this out of PVC pipe. I use art paper for a background - I cover it with a white bedsheet on the top and sides and light it with studio strobes or speedlites to shoot product shots like this

but I only have two 550ex's and I've found that it's a little more difficult to evenly light the background and the subject. So, I bought the floods (cheap) and they seem to work out well. I had seen another setup on line where someone used linen as a light diffuser, but I thought that would suck up too much light.
