wow - I'm impressed. Love the expressions (the contemplation of the pole vaulter and the 3rd picture of the relay in particular). And great action (the 2nd high jumper and the hurdler, in particular nail it - but is it an optical illusion or is the hurdler missing her hand?) Nice job. thumb.gif

No Illusion, she is indeed missing half her arm. She's also on the gymnastics team.

The hurdler shot rocks. In fact, all the running shots are really nice.

The high jump shots are cool, but the background interferes: the goal post stand is too large to ignore, unfortunately. Same deal with the pole vault shot, those darned yellow posts mess up your background.

I've been itching to shoot track and field, can't wait to see how hard it is. Dancing in my mind are all those great images one sees from the Olympics. lol3.gif

i hear you about the backgrounds. Unfortunately not a darn thing you can do about them for field events. It's not like soccer or football where you can just switch sidelines or select a different angle.

Shoot from the other side to improve the background and you don't get the faces in the shot. Kind of stinks. I just wish they would consult a photographer when they lay out the site :D

man, that's just awesome that she goes out there and participates any way! Bet she'll go far in life w/ that kind of spirit/attitude.

Great Shots! Just looking at the girl again with one hand and doing gymnastics. I did gymnastics in high school and it was hard enough with two hands. She probably will go far with her spirit and attitude. What a trooper.
