So my wife and I we're woken up by our neighbor at 7 this morning. She said both our cars have been broken into. I almost had an anneurism, I just had a shoot this weekend and luckily I brought in my gear this time when I usually leave it in my car.
My car seemed to be untouched, but my wife's car was ransacked, they took her CD player, everything in the glovebox.
We live in what I thought was a secure neighborhood. I didn't go to bed till about 2am so it must have happened early morning.
It sucks, so just remember folks summer is coming and burglaries usually rise with the temperature. Lock your homes and your cars, don't leave valuables in your car. I was lucky enough to bring in my gear, I can't even imagine what I would do if I lost all that.

I know the feeling... My car's been broken into in 2005... I still keep finding the shards of rear quarter window in the back...
Not much one can do about those burglars, without turning one's life into the one of the watchdog...
But such a story is not unusual today.
Be carefull,
I'm still in shock. My son is still upset. I doubt the thieves have any idea of the value of what they stole. Very sad.

When finally they caught the most prolific burgular in Charlotte, NC history, he said that he would look for homes with signs advertising security systems because he said there is always a way around them and such a sign essentially guarantees that there are lots of valuables in the home.
