One of my favorite subjects! They look completely different through a macro lens...
Natural light with the camera set to -1/3 EV. I do a minor levels adjustment and highlights adjustment during post processing, but I spend less than 60 seconds on any one image.
For the last two shots: The sun was behind some very thin clouds -pretty much the perfect light for this type of photography. Brian you should have been with me my friend -it was definitely your lighting
