A few killdeer captures

These guys have several hatchlings that I have briefly seen but can not photograph. They just disappear in the weeds of the back pasture.

    Yeah, he or she was doing the "wounded bird dance" that killdeers are known for trying to distract me from the little ones nearby.

    I try not to, but they make their nests in my backyard. It's a bit hard not to bug them. Heck, they bug the gajeebus out of me with their sqawking! eek7.gif

    They certainly do. Even more so now that they have chicks after this little bit of hanky panky a few weeks back.
