These guys have several hatchlings that I have briefly seen but can not photograph. They just disappear in the weeds of the back pasture.

Yeah, he or she was doing the "wounded bird dance" that killdeers are known for trying to distract me from the little ones nearby.

We a lot have Killdeer here too. Man can they raise a racket sometimes!
I try not to, but they make their nests in my backyard. It's a bit hard not to bug them. Heck, they bug the gajeebus out of me with their sqawking!
