gotta love the detail. I would take the lens and leave you with the snake.
What lens was it? And just think god, or DNA, made all those little decorative bumps, beads, or whatever, on the abstract shot. Pretty amazing capture.
The pale lizard was not through glass, he was shot in a little studio setup with a couple of strobes. The equipment was not mine, it belonged to the curator of the reptile house so I dont know any details on the lights. He was shot with a 60mm Nikkor Micro lense.
The others were all shot through glass, lighting from a Nikon SB-800 Flash on a Stroboframe flash bracket. I used a variety of lense setups which included a 75-300 tamaron zoom a sigma 28-80 zoom and a set of Kenko Extension tubes.
This guy got up close and personal with a Cobra. And I mean close! He got bit! Watch it to the end, because the idiot, I mean professional photographer, actually went back to get the shot 2 hours later. This guy just wants to get on the Darwin Awards Honorable Mention list!

Great shots Brian. It looks like you got a little more DOF in some of your shots than me at f16. Probably when you were using the shorter lens.

Do you remember if you had your white balance set on flash for the studio setup? My shot seems to look more yellow than yours.
I think I had white balance on auto. Either that or flash.
The DOF and the detail in thiose studio shots suprised me. I used that guys 60mm micro... man I gotta get one of those, fast focus, sharp as a tack, It was great.

Speak with sweet words, for you never know when you may have to eat them....

I was told this is a skink.
Is one of the other critters in this thread a skink?
