Why are you parting with such nice lenses?

When you say "post flare issues" with the 24-105, does this mean the lens has a flaw causing flare?

I think he means post, as in after flare issues...

Meaning that this is the model after one that had issues?
EDIT: to answer my own question, did some research, and yes, anything ut10xx and earlier had the problem evidently :)

Just want to clarify as I'm strongly considering buying this lenses as after much discussion in this thread:
    http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=58622

The conclusion I came to was that I want this lens. (plus the other lens was a close 2nd... which also makes it tempting!!)

So much glass, so little money...

I have an every revolving door of lenses. I had a RebelXT with a 24-70, then replaced it with a 17-55 IS when that came out. Then got a 24-105 in anticipation of getting a 5D. Then I sold the 17-55 and kept the 24-105 thinking that I would prefer the reach over the speed. But now I think I rather have the speed so back to the 24-70 f/2.8.

Models after UT10xx do not have flare problems.
