I hope you're not getting tired of these -I just can't seem to get tired of shooting them
Perfect lighting conditions again -very thin clouds. I set the camera (Canon Xti) to aperture priority F5.6, ISO 200, and -1/3 EV. 100mm macro lens with a 12mm extension tube. I use the tube to give me a little more magnification so I can back off a little and still get them large in the frame. No flash -way too skittish. Minimal post processing and no cropping -ever. The light and the aperture paints the background for me so I can continue to be Photoshop stupid :wink
He thought he could get away before I pressed the shutter button...

These little Haystack Butterflies look ever so feminine.
The colours are so soft and pastle like ... I just love the blue and purple on their body and wings .... Skippy

Thanks Ann! On the advice of a mentor I'm adding a diopter to the lens. It will make the background smooth out even more.
