A great looking machine!! One of the "C" 's? Shame they discontinued them.... I loved their style. (which isn't always easy to saw for bmw!) Got any other pics?
Mine in Street Fighter mode:
And in travel digs:
Happy motoring
Thanks!
Yup, it's an R1200C. I think it was too groovy-looking for BMW. They had to stop making it. I always liked the style of your bike too. Classic, clean, tough-looking.
Here's another shot of the 'C'. I changed the bars right away to lower ones. I couldn't get used to the high bars that came with it. It's really fun to ride.
The yellow bike was my old one. A reissue of an old drag bike, the Eliminator. That one was fun too.

Just last night, for the first time in weeks I had time to just relax and think (work and stuff sux), and I suddenly realized that I've been without a motorbike in this forsaken upside down country for the past several months! It was as if I awoke from a dream, sweaty, upset...
I just keep telling myself: you don't miss your GSadventure, you don't miss your GSadventure.

Hey Erik, my antipodean colleague!
Hang out and enjoy that wonderful country. You'll return soon and we'll help you get set up with a GS. Look on the bright side: they've improved the gearing ratio in the '08s.
We'll have you back up in no time. Meanwhile, enjoy the clean air, ocean views, pleasant people and mediocre coffee!

Indeed, it goes in spurts, this longing for a bike. There's plenty to do and see, and riding in the city isn't really all that much fun, so most of the time, I'm ok being bikeless for a while.
I do love that all-red adventure for 08
and by the way, where do you get off callng the coffee mediocre? have you been to crapbucks lately? blech, i'm glad the aussie's are more european about their coffee - quality, not quantity (like back home, where you order in gallons). speaking of which, i'm off to the newsroom cafe for my morning hit.
Great thread. It's looking at photos like these that make me happy to go to work everyday.

'Zactly. Lot's of riders miss that!
Here's my daily ride:
And my ride for long trips:
Although, sometimes the gixxer works for long trips:
Started out on a CB360T:
Then outgrew it and got an SV650S and added a Sharkskinz fairing:
. . . Then after crashing it, I painted it blue:
. . . Then after crashing it again, I got a V-Star 650. It didn't perform too well in our Canadian climate though :
We should have a moto photo session some place.
And I see somebody's got a supa moto too

I've had some other bikes, but this is my current love.
This is the best idea I've heard in quite a long while. We could even celebrate your belated birthday!
