What do you think of this one? Is the background overexposed enough? Would you buy this one? They wanted a clean look, and they love the white background. He was 2! What a fun challenge!!

Thank you! Yeah, they were kinda limiting in the tonal range. I wanted it to be close to a high key. Thanks for the CC!!

I love the high-key look...however, if you are going to sell these to your client...I would show them off on metalic paper. Take a look at Fullcolor.com

    Good job. I lik'em.thumb.gif

    Hi Josh!

You're pretty much right regarding the tones on those two shots: I don't think they work better with more contrast and all. The high key is a sure keeper! thumb.gif

More importantly, the boy's expression, especially in #2, is great!
    Sure buy from me!

    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Take care! :-)

i like these, but i like to stay away from metalic for portaits, it gives them a silvery look, ( not so great for skin tones) so the white would not look as white :)

    josh-

got some good poses from the kid-

not a big fan of high key and not really sure what all is required to call a photo high key-

I too would like to see more black and also maybe just a wee bit more of differentiation between the subject and the background, but then maybe it moves away from being a high key shot-

kinda' ramblin' on this; for what you're doing for the parents, looks like some pretty good portraits-
