Beautiful light in those shots David...
You must have enjoyed photographing the action at that time of day!
Hi there Chris and thanks, I did enjoy it. The oval was 1/2 in shade at this time and was very happy that most of the play was out in the sun. Here is hoping for the remaining weekends to of similar weather.
David, nice colour, the second is definitely "in the back" but I assume the umpire gave a play on call. Now if only the mighty 'Pies could kick straight...:D

....thanks Ozi, I think the Pies and these guys have been training together. They seem to have a knack of kicking it down the oppositions throat. It was in the back and you are correct, umpires arms went up to the call of "play on".
NIce shots, haven't been in the land down under for sometime, BUT how are the West Coast Eagles doing this year? BTW - Grats on winning the Cricket World Cup.
LT Sony A700&VG; KM 7D&VG; KM 5D; Min 28-75/2.8; 50/1.7; Tammie 17-50/2.8; Tammie 90/2.8 Macro; Min 80-200/2.8; and Min 300/2.8, two flashes, and a couple of other accessories.
WCE are (almost) unbeatable and I think 6-0 so far. Cricket was a farce. Australia is so far ahead of the rest of the world, it's stupid. I watched about 2 hours in total of the entire tournament. Oh for some competition...
