OK Here is my attempt for LPS 5

'In the Shadow of Liberty'

2810281#150095380-L-LB150095380#150095380-L150095380-L.jpg

This is pretty much from the camera with only a conversion from RAW to JPG. Does it work as is or should I crop on just the statue?

Exif info here

The time is off due to the fact that I did not change it in the camera when I arrived in New York from Iowa :doh

Either way I like it as is and will be printing a copy for myself :D

Looks great, I like the way the sun peeks around the base of the statue... The only thing I think that would make it a stronger image is Verticle! this image screams verticle... The Flag to the right draws my eye away from the main subject... All of that dead space is un-necessary.

    Verticle

    Yep, verticle it is.

Would slight dodging of waves at the base enhance this image?

    Thanks for the comments

I have to admit that I have been leaning towards the vertical myself (does this mean I walk at an angle most of the time.......might account for somethings rolleyes1.gif). I wll crop and repost later tonight.

I will also investigate the waves, either cropping them out of dodging them

    Go Dodge
    Thanks for the comments

    OR DODGING THEM

    Andy

    Andy,

dodging would give more character and set it apart from less enthusiastic silhouetters
