LPS 5 dilemma

I went to post my entry and noticed another that was similar in concept to mine. Given all the discussion lately about this kind of thing hapenning I wasn't sure if I should post. I did send a message to the other member asking what they thought but there isn't much time left.

Not that I have a chance of winning, however I'd still like to enter. Just don't want to cause anyone to be upset.

So ... what do you think?

Oops! Just realized the contest doesn't end tonight. So I have some time.

Anyway, here's a couple of thoughts for the contest. What do you think?

#1 doesn't do much for me. #2 is REALLY nice!!!! I like the detail of the leaves and the backlighting sure makes them look translucent to me. :D

You might want to consider cloning out a few of those spots the left leaf so that they don't compete with the translucent overlap.

Thanks Linda, I think I'll take that advice and work on those spots.

Well spotted, I reckon this is a contender for the final.
I agree with cloning out the yellowish spots on the leaf but I think filling in the gaps with green doesn't work.

Thanks Adrian, I agree about the filled in gaps. Just thought I'd give it a try. Here's my latest attempt.

I think it looks great! Definitely translucent! I wonder a 'little' bit about the open spaces being so bright and the green patches in the upper gaps, but maybe those aren't a big deal. Hasn't it been great to have some sunshine to work with?! We rarely see the sun here in NW-PA!

Thanks Nik! Someone else pointed this out to me also. When all else fails, read the instructions!

Hopefully I've got them down now, no guarantee though. I'm a little on the sloooowww side.headscratch.gif
