A dove in my backyard

This is probably the last of the cedar waxwings passing through as they do not spend the summer months here with us but up north.

This picture shows why that are called waxwings. See the tip of red feathers?

Good shots Stephen. thumb.gif Have you tried closer crops of them?

Those damn birds will make you crazy. When they are in plain sight they are on something man made. When they are in a natural setting they are obscured. It ain't easy.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Tell me about it. They drive me nuts when I finally think I have shot, then they move. I tried several different crops, but I lost to much sharpness if I began to crop more closely. The 8 MB to worth with seems to run out too soon if I crop too much. I bet though I could make the crop tighters with losing too much sharpness. Thanks.
