WOW David! Nice shot, love them big eyes!!! They're nasty blood suckers, but such interesting subjects. It almost looks like a creature from one of those "giant" bugs movies
Wow there is just so much our Eyes cannot see, that's why I love Macro sooooo much we don't get to see how a compound eye is made up,
nor all the tiny hairs that cover the body.
Being able to produce a Macro image is just awesome I say .

I did zoom in on the original and looked at the small red thing. It does look like something akin to a small mite. I guess I should have used the 4x or 5x to get a bit closer.
