Taken at 4:1 uncropped and focus stacked. Don't look quite as pretty close up

If they would shave once in a while they wouldn't be so ugly!:D
Great closeup, wonderful detail.

Curious on the first image - the critter's left eye is sharp as are some of the hairs near the right eye. But, there is an area in-between and on top of the head that is OOF. It would seem to me that this are should have been sharp as well given the angle of the shot.

Much appreciated.
Al - not fridged- just lucky with it's position on a mat laying over the back of a sun chair- meant I could creep up on it
RogersDA- Bith images are focus stacked- you don't get much DOF at 4:1
The second image unfortunately ended up with a slight gap in the stack.
