Op Tech neck strap

Just had to say that I got an Op Tech Pro Loop strap the day before my trip to California, and I LOVE it! Maybe my old strap was especially bad, but the new one is soooo great. It's comfortable and seems to distribute the weight very well. I would heartily recommend one to anyone looking for a new strap!

e.g. I have a Mickey-Mouse Op-Tech bought at Disneyland for my Contax G2. Yes looks kinda silly to some of you but my G2 is supposed to be my non-intimidating camera.

I liked it so much, I got one for my camera bag as well.

Maybe thats the old version? However I disliked them
because they would pull my shirt to any kind of undesired
direction.
I'm using the (highly underrated) tamrac camera strap
which is made out of thick leather. Its very broad and
comfortable to wear even with heavy cameras. Just
remove those silly pockets on the strap and it will look
good too :> Cost is around 20$

At the each end of the strap, I added a couple of spinning openable couplers, for quick releasing off the camera.

Mine should be here tomorrow:D
Good idea, David. I think it would work well with the Op-Tech strap as well. I might watch for wear on camera strap mounts or the couplers themselves because of the metal-to-metal contact. If one metal is significantly harder than the other, the other one may wear and become weakened. Just a thought.

I really love my Op/Tech elastic Bino harness...

I used it with my D50 + Nikkor 18-70 for a week traveling in China and it, except for a bit of a hassle to initially put on, made for an enjoyable method for fast shooting and hands-free toting when not....

It is very flexible and comfortable, and makes carrying large or even smaller heavy lenses on your camera really comfortable on your neck.
It gives feels like it has some kind of elasticity to it, it gives and takes the weight off your neck .... Skippy

Just ordered a second one (for my second 30D body).
And, best of all, I came out with a very cool method of using them to remove the weight from the neck completely (if the circumstances are right). No special harness is needed!
