Different for me anyway- since my camera is in the shop I was going thru some old shots and experimenting with Photoshop a tad. This is a little more processed than usual for me so let me know what you think.

D70s w/ 105/2.8vr at f3.0
Layered color version over sepia and set to multiply.

I think it's a lovely portrait! The darker tones match the look of concern that she has on her face - yet she still looks soft and sweet.

    Hi Jeff,

I too like it a lot, the pp seems to give it an almost 3D look. There is something about it that looks a bit odd to me though, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps her eyes? It could be just my monitor (laptop), but the pupil just blends in with the colored part, making it look really large and black. Again, I'm not sure if that's what's getting me or if it is something else...

Regardless of that though, I like it! Well done!

Fun shot with great tones. Before you set the layer to multiply, was there detail in her eyes? If so, you may want to experment with putting a mask in to reveal some texture and details of her eyes from the original color layer (maybe with some eye enhancement done to it as well). Also, her eye sockets are a little over shadowed (too dark). Try lightening this up a bit. This may take it to the next level.

Here eyes are very dark brown- I had lightened them up in the original- I guess the processing took that out (Still not sure I would call them alien rolleyes1.gif ) Thanks though.
