Hey gang....sorry I haven't been around to comment on your entries...was up north shooting an equivalent of 100 rolls of film :wink. Anyway....here are two that I want to enter and would like to know which you prefer. I've also got a couple translucent but haven't worked on those yet.

The frames and all will not be present when entering.

#2

Thanks in advance!:thumb

    Both excellent images.

I personally prefer the fist one, but think the second fits the requirements better

Second one is better for this competition, the first one has better sky.
    Tough choice.

Man!...got a coin? ...tails...no heads. If you didn't shoot such great photos it would be a lot easier to choose. Both are strong entries but for different reasons. Go with your heart and have no regrets.

    Thanks everyone
It is a toss up but am leaning towards #2 simply because it's more up close and personal. The partial sun gives the shot character. I love #1 for different reasons (that's why it's in my favorites gallerymwink.gif). I think #1 is a strong shot but for the contest #2 makes sense.....who knows what the judges will or will not prefer. I don't want to make the mistake I made on LPS #1, choosing an image that didn't seem right at the time over one that I was confident in......so............thanks...I really appreciate your time.

It's your choice, but the sun is exactly the reason I vote #1, not #2. deal.gif
It's distracting and colors are bleeding.. ne_nau.gif
    Don't forget the frame! mwink.gif

I vote for #1 b/c I think the sillouhette is stronger and more of the image (and thus, IMHO, fits the theme better). Both are very good, but I feel the bright spot of the sun pulls you away from the sillouhette (I end up looking more at the bright and less at the cliff side)

but I like Shatch's advice - go with your heart and no regrets

    You know.......
That's what makes this forum so great.....I never realized that the sun would be a distraction but it is........only when wanting a pure silhouette.mwink.gif Ok, entered the first one. Thanks everyone again for your input.....it sealed it for me (and help me see the light rolleyes1.gif). Ok Dave....you were right.............AGAIN!. Someday I'll listen...just ask my wife rolleyes1.gif

    funny,
I read through the replies and it seems about 50/50! And I keep going back and forth too! I also like the composition of #2 as I think it's better for the challenge, however I too like the sky in #1. What if you fixed the color bleed that Nik mentioned? OR, how about the translucent ones you mentioned - how will they compare to these two?
