A Taste of DC

I've resided in the Foggy Bottom district (3 blocks from the National Mall) for the past two semesters while attending the George Washington University. I'm transferring to SCAD next fall, but I'm still going to miss it here.
These are a few shots that I've taken from around the city:
1) WWII Memorial
2) "Metro Man" - Arlington National Cemetary Station
3) Whitehurst Freeway/ K St, NW Intersection
4) Lincoln Memorial Circle
5) US Capital Building
6) Snack Vendor Near the National Mall
7) "Word to Your Mother" - Newspaper Stands Outside Smithsonian Metro Station
8) Korean War Memorial
I hope that you can enjoy these photos as much as I have enjoyed living here.
C&C appreciated - always!

I like #1 and #8
#8 would be better without the over exposer on the left but I like the colors and you've got some nice solid blacks in it.
I spent 1 1/2 months in a hotel in pentagon city about 3 years ago. It's a great place to spend some time. The only problem is finding that new angle on a way to photographed spot. Have you done any night shots with a monument in the background.

I agree! I constantly have to distinguish myself from a tourist. Haha!
Here's one of the few "night monument" shots that I've done - taken from the roof of 1957 E St, NW.
I'm still wanting to get a shot of the Kennedy Center and [???] Bridge at night from the waterfront on the way to Georgetown - hopefully this week. I'll post it when I do!
