How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I've shot lots of sandhills but I have never gotten that close. Very nicely done. Lovely bokeh in the background too.

The crane need to work on its dental hygiene:D :D

I can't recall ever seeing a Sandhill Crane before this year. Funny how we go through life with ours eyes closed, sometimes.

    Thanks, Stephen.:D

I believe this may be the best I've ever done....if not....I feel that way anyway. It's very nice to get that sense of accomplishment. Of course, I never was a quitter.

Maybe Ginger sent the crane my way.

You can come here and get all the sandhills you want. I'm trying to find a baby one, but no such luck Laughing.gif. I can hear them gobbling when i get home from work, i should just take camera and go join them. I'm sure you've seen mine already, so i'll give it some time before make new shots.:D

They have a unique call, that's for sure. Gobble is close...but not quite accurate...as in turkey gobble. There is sort of a cluck and a clack in there too!rolleyes1.gif
