Wolverine ESP vs. Epson P-3000

I've done the search for "Epson" and "Wolverine" and can't quite come up with exactly what I'm looking for.
I currently use a Mediagear 40g portable tank, w/o video screen, and it has been pretty good. No failures of any type. The big problem I am having now is speed and power; it takes about 20 minutes to download a card, and a full battery only lasts about 6-8 cards. When I am shooting outside pretty much constantly, I run out of juice on the tank, then space on my card, pretty quick. I'm trying to be all RAW now, so I need to upgrade.
I am looking at the wolverine ESP (80gig), $350, vs. the Epson P-3000 (40gig) $400. It looks, from the photos, like the Epson has a bit better build quality and is nicer looking, but is that worth paying $50 more for 40 gigs less?
What I want to know, from folks who have experience with these two products, are the following:
How long does it take to download 1 gig of photos?
How long will the battery last, in terms of gigs downloaded? (i.e- 25 dumps of a 1 gig card, etc.)
What do you like most about yours?
What do you like least?
Do you have experience with both?
Thanks,
Justi

The short answer is that I just put the card in, transfer it and let it shut
off when it's done.
