Rubber Ducky - minus the rubber
My neighbor has a small garden pond and a pair of Mallard Ducks has visited his small oasis during Spring the past two years.
This year, the pair sometimes misses his yard and lands in our yard. They used to look around for the missing pond (they can't see it because of my fence), but lately have grown accustom to just lingering and enjoying my kids stares.
Last evening, while mowing the back 40, I saw them from the corner of my eye. I was using my loud lawnmower 15 feet from them and they seemed quite content. After I finished, I got my family and my camera and fired off about 30 photos of the male and female. Here's one I especially like.

Thanks Maestro. I did a little USM and bumped up the contrast a little for this photo. The original is quite detailed but I had to crush the photo to fit the 145K link size limit so the feathers look soft from the compression.
