Barn Owl (Captive)
We went to The Cotswold Wildlife park with the children at the weekend. The bird of prey displays are always good to watch.
I love Barn owls, and to see one working at such close quarters is a real treat for me.
The bird hovered in a stiff breeze...
Then using one wing to keep its balance in the wind dropped to the ground to collect its reward
The other bird I watched was a Harris Hawk.
Which then landed on my daughters fist
A great day out
Thanks for looking

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I like the Harris in flight but unfortunately there is nothing I can do about the background.
There was a Harris here for a few months, complete with jessies. It was great to watch but dissapeared as quickly as it arrived.
