Better, worse, no different....... what about the dark areas? (comments may be too small, sorry) All ISO 200, f8, most with the 75-300 at the long end. A couple with the 28-135. Charlestonians look forward to the sunsets of winter, we know they are spectacular. Bill was seeing the same sunset two hours down the coast and was thinking of me. I went after it by knowing that there was a slight bit of cloud cover in a primarily blue sky. That is kind of the signal for a great sunset. But I do want to know how to handle it in post. ginger, thank you

This is just a corner of the first photo, blown up to large. I don't think there is much grain, if any. g

    ginger,

    I really like this one:

There's no hint of flare like in the other one and the birds over the orange water are quite nice. Well done.

Thanks, you all. That is my husband's favorite, too. I worked it up last night, but forgot to bring it down to smugmug, so it didn't get included. I thought, darn, the one my husband thinks is best will never be seen, so I am really glad you two stopped by.

    Thanks, ginger:D
