Gonna make one for my daughter and another for my son!

I may give it a try. I will probably just get it printed from smugmug since I trust their print quality.
I'll post back if I decide to do it.

And I'm doing it on my 1ghz pbook, G5's busy burning my son's epic 2-DVD set.
Anyway, rasterizing the PDF takes FOREVER!
Just a heads up.

It ended up with a larger margin on the bottom than the top, but I figure I can just trim it a touch. I'm going to get it mounted on foamcore, so I'll have them trim it when they do that. If anyone can figure out what I may have done wrong to get the large lower margin, let me know.
Also, I probably could have done a better job of randomizing the images, but oh well...

Did you order the print through iPhoto, or Smugmug/ezprints?
Thanks,
Dave

I ended up with a 10meg file, so I just used iPhoto.

That was super fast! How do you rate the print quality to those from EZPrints?

I'm sure you can do this in Photoshop with the "Picture Package" option under File->Automate. It will just take a LOT longer to do. You will need to create a new template once in Picture Package for a 20x30, or whatever size you want to print. Then add the pictures, one by one.
I do this with my business cards. Not very efficient, but it does the job nicely.
I'm not sure if Elements has this feature.

I've been busy at work, so I haven't had time to look enough to file a complete report but:
looks great.
I think it's a touch denser than I'm used to with smugmug.
It's a different format, so it takes different eyes to compare it.
I'll look closer later today. But overall I'm very pleased with the quality.
And FAST!

Actually, when you're in PS, right before you save as TIFF, you can cmd-click on the layer, and nudge the image south with the move tool. Centered top to bottom in a few clicks.
Also, the file size is 69mb. Whatever iPhoto uploads, JPEG, I assume, was 10mb.

My daughter was, quite literally, speechless. I mean it. Her jaw dropped. It was very cool.
My son liked his, too.

You guys have been having so much fun with this, but when I clicked on the link to your son's poster I was asked for a password...

Thats awesome! I'm glad they were a hit. I bet these were awesome printed at 20x30.
I tried to click the link for your sons poster, but was asked for a password.

Looks like you had a lot of fun with this! Glad the children enjoyed their individual posters too.
Good idea for a grandparent gift too.
