I think the current image is better then the second one. That being said I kinda wish the original was sharper, maybe even with harsher light. I dunno, can't really say for sure...

There both great images, my personal favorite is # 2, but I am undecided on which one I would enter if it were my descision.

I like both images, the only thing to think about is in the first shot you have both theme topics going on there... I believe Shay has discouraged this unless it really works well... I think it works well defining both theme topics... but of course I'm no judge... Your second image is a definate solid shot showing translucent!thumb.gif

I find the second more aesthetically pleasing. I also think that because you can see more detail in the model, it's not so much a silhouette as a photo demonstrating the translucency of the wall (eyes... straining.. to see... more!), so I don't think that both themes are involved here.

Both photos are exceptional, but #2 is much stronger with regard to translucent. As others pointed out, #1 has too much of both themes at play.

Great shot Sean. I really liked the first one when you posted it. But, I like the second better because there is so much more for the eye to explore and it has more depth. The hands on the translucent surface are nearly in focus while definition is lost in elements farther away from the surface. I'm glad you revisited this.

    Definitely #2 for me!

I like the second one better. It's clearer, it's got more kick.

Like them both--but #1 still gets my vote.

    Tough choice…
I really appreciate all the thought and opinions put into everyone’s comments.
As the artist behind the images I personally like the second image for all the reasons
mentioned but it has lost the mood that I felt I had captured in the first.

In the end it is the message that an image portrays that is really important to me and the
message of the first one is much stronger even if it is possibly technically weaker.

Yes it does touch on both themes but instead of competing against themselves they work together to enhance the whole feel.

So... above is my justification for leaving the current entry as is. Blind eye of the artist? Maybe?

Thanks again for taking the time to lend me your thoughts.

Hey Sean, I agree with most of the above observations. Both are great images and at first I preferred your original. But after thinking about it and coming back for a second gander, I have to agree that number 2 is the stronger, more true to theme image. And as Jesse so aptly mentioned, it has more "kick". Good luck!!! (Not that you need it!) :saurora

Having had same staff happening to meself on so many occasions.. deal.gif That's why I almost always prefer the "original" versions of many songs to their later perfected, remastered and so much technically better versions... ne_nau.gif
