Clouds and a tree

Hi all,

Got this last night - lots of rain showers going over and some excellent cloud formations. I just missed lovely reds and oranges in the sky, so went monochrome instead.



I used Lightroom to do the conversion, then some dodging and burning in Photoshop.

Very cool midevil lookin clouds

I like the way they look, but the ground looks too bright and becomes unreal, which if desired worked well. However, I see no reason for it in this composition. I would darken the ground so the dark line on the horizon is not so noticeable.

Thanks for that - I'll give that a go. It's a hedge along the horizon - bit annoying I agree. The light ground is some sort of purple flowered groundcover plant which I did lighten up - will fiddle further...
