While the oldest wasat soccer practice I needed to recover from the shock of having driven across town with him at the wheel. So I went looking for photo ops. This is what I found, a wonderful walk along the Sturgess River in st. Albert, currently outside of it's banks:
Others were enjoying the local as well:

And then, at the end of our drive home, again with boy at the wheel, we saw the sunset:

I'll post the wildlife that I saw in that forum.

Glad you 'survived' to see the sun setting, Ann!!! Lol...

The reflections work really well. That is a neat red bridge. That shot and the group taking photos of the dancers (with their reflections in the water) are my favorites, oh, and of course the sunset! :saurora

    Thanks!!

I've realized that I got the river name wrong - it is Strgeon, not sturgess. Sturgess is that place where the big motorbike rally happens.

    More shots in the gallery.

It was a nice walk. Thanks for coming along.

Thanks, Nik. The sunset was spectacular. I am fond of the beaver too - my first for that rodent.

    Thanks, skippy

Spent way more time lolling about watching the wildlife than doing any meaningful walking/hiking/exercising. But it felt so freat to have subjects/light and time all at the same moment!

The sunset shot is very nice. It has a thick sense of moodiness to it.
