Thanks. It was a lot of fun watching the beavers - the river is out of its banks so much that the trees and shrubs are under water, providing lots of fresh greens for the beavers. They were really active. I only got the big one, but there was a much smaller one nearby.
I had the luxury of following the mallards in and out of the sweet light - it was great. The male actually turned and waited for the female to get close, so I was able to get lots of shots of him.
Thanks, skippy. I don't know if we will get to this spot in September, but I am willing to bet we can find some of these creatures. Mallards are common, beavers are common but it is harder to get close to them. I am sure this one was taking advantage of the flooded water and underwater new foliage. Thisis the first coot I've ever seen.

Excellent, gosh I've never seen a Beaver, not in a Zoo either.
I've seen Otters in the Zoo.
The ducks are beautiful colours Ann, water looks like a mirror.
