Good Day

Here are a few images from my recent trip to the Sarasota area. I was amazed by the quantity of birds I seen and how close I was able to get. This will definately be an annual event for me. A big highlight was meeting "The Birdman", thanks Mike for your extreme generosity and the awsome opportunity for great Osprey shots, (they will be a seperate post).

Enjoy Shane

Terrific series Shane. Some of them there birds look familiar. rolleyes1.gif Enjoyed shooting with you and look forward to seeing the osprey pics. I won't tell you what kind of show the ospreys put on last Tuesday ....as you departed the Sunshine State. eek7.gif:D Let's just say Tuesday made Sunday look very "average" for activity. We should have visited that Northern nest more often. BOTH CHICKS WERE FLYING. :ivar wings.gif

Nice set. I especially like #3.thumb.gif

I do have to say though, that the watermark is very distracting and takes away a lot from enjoying the pics.

ne_nau.gif The images are fantastic. Can you elaborate a little on where in the Sarasota area that you photographed. My last trip down there I couldn't find anything even close to a "Reddish". Again, good work. bsvirginian

    Good Day

bsvirginian, I spent the better part of 3 days carefully stalking this little Reddish Egret at north beach in Fort De Soto park, he is not shy as you can see. I also found very cooperative birds at the marina park near downtown Sarasota. There was a Snowy & litttle blue that provided me with great photo opps.

    Thanks for your compliments.

Good set, especially the reddish egret. thumb.gif I think the birds in Florida will let you in clsoer than at any other locations.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Good Day

Yeh, the reddish egret is my favorite as well. I took about 800 images of him, I will post more as I am able to process. 800 you say? Thats what happens when I get out of the desert for a week and see a bird I have never seen before. Tough little guy to capture. It was awesome, he danced for me for 3 straight hours.

    Thanks Shane

Nice series! clap.gif I really enjoyed #2+3, but I agree with a previous comment on the watermark taking away from the "splender"
