I took some pics for a friend of mine and then afterwards used my set up for my own kids... Here are some I liked.
My set up included (don't laugh, all you fancy photographers :D )
a halogen construction lamp shining down on the background and ambient light and bounced flash and reflector in the front... Oh, yeah, don't forget the 5 white tablecloths. (ha ha!)

Awwww! Cute kids and a great job, Heather! These turned out really special...I love close crops on kid's faces. Light is light........right? Who cares what you use when you get the results. Oh, and Happy Mother's Day to you!!!

Thanks saurora! I was trying to incorporate what I have learned from all you gurus and do it cheap (like how about... free)

Anyway, I am pretty happy with the results- and so is my friend.

There are a bunch more amazing ones, I just haven't processed them from the raw. Those fair / pinkish skin tones are tricky to get the right exposure and color balance!

I am a fan of close crops too! I love it that you can see every single detail of their eyelid or whatever from this close of a crop. They sure are cute!
    Thanks for the compliment!

I appreciate that- I was very hesitant to post as you never know what people will like. I just know what I like, and I like these, too.
Thanks for making me feel like I might be getting somewhere. :D
