Tom, those are some of the nicest photos I've seen from a Renaissance Faire! :D

I'm a fan of the first shot, it has superb tones and lighting, it's very beautiful!

    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Take care!

Don't know if its just me or not but i think the second one has to bright of a background and it just pulls her into it.

Number 1 catches me the most. The angel looks thoughtful and otherworldly, but the tree trunk brings it back down to earth. I like it! thumb.gif The only things I would try to fix are the weird glows on her face and right arm.

That glow is her makeup, kinda weird.

My fav is 4- I work with kids a LOT, and this ornery expression is PERFECT! It really captures those boys and their fun spirit!
iloveyou.gif Thanks for sharing! Really love them all!

Hey thanks, I think I used a bigma for that one. Many don't use it for portraits but I love it for the long focal length to get compression and shallow DOF. It's softer than top notch prime lenses but it's ok to have a touch of softness for portraits. The biggest thing is to kneel down to eye level with the kids.

That first one actually made me say 'whoa' out loud-- not at all what I was expecting, and a great capture!
