I Like the one above, but maybe simpler is better:

Boy, that is a hard choice. I'm sort of leaning to the one you have already posted. There are a number of silhouettes against orange sunsets already in the competition, not that that is any deterent, of course. Your's is just lovely and the brief history of LPS shows that similar photos can and do make the top ten in any given challenge. There is no doubt that simpler feels safer. But the tressle stands out as different. And it feels like one of your photos. I think you have a shot at a twofer either way. Good luck with whatever you choose.thumb.gif

Comparing the two, I'd go with the second/newest one. I'm not sure if it gets the first spot, but it's neat, theme-adequate and easy on the eye.
First one looks too "busy" for me :hide

Ann, for me the first one is not a silhouette, but an image with the shadows plugged up. As in, it looks like a mistake.

The second says silhouette to me and is the one I would enter.

As almost always, David says it best. bowdown.gif

I'd crop it a bit, though, no need for so much ground...deal.gif

    Virginia, David and Nik

You have all reaffirmed my feelings - the first one is very 'me', and it is very busy, and it was not a true silhouette at shoot time.

So, lets look at the sunsets from that night. With or without the clouds in the sky?

Not much time - I leave for soccer in an hour.

Thanks for all your input - I appreciate it

Last one, with the clouds (but again, with large parth of the ground cropped out)

I think a vertical may help.
Get that old rule of thirds going.

That's the best thing to do, also the hardest.

    Good luck Ann.
